STEAM EDUCATION
STEAM aims to strengthen the foundation of STEM by helping students enhance their critical thinking skills and recognize the intersection of art, science, technology, engineering, and math. It gives students tools and methods to explore new and creative ways of problem-solving, displaying data, innovating, and linking multiple fields.
LEARN 21ST CENTURY, IN DEMAND SKILLS
STEM jobs are projected to grow 13%. Between 2017 and 2027, the number of STEM jobs will grow 13 percent, compared to 9 percent for non-STEM jobs—with positions in computing, engineering, and advanced manufacturing leading the way.
PROJECT BASED LEARNING
Summer STEAM Camp provides an opportunity to disconnect from the normal educational environment and enjoy thoughtful and engaging activities that push student understanding. The curriculum is aligned to the SOLs, Common Core, NGSS, and CSTA Standards.
ARTS EDUCATION INTEGRATION
On average, students who study the arts for four years in high school score 98 points higher on the SATs compared to those who study for a half of year or less... Also being four time more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, and three times more likely to receive awards for school attendance, while contributing to development in critical thinking and problem solving.
